The closing retreat opens with class evaluations of all program days to help improve upon the program year to year. The students are then broken into Class Project Teams and they decide on what community service project they would like to do. These projects require them to research the topics, speak to community leaders (via phones) and utilize any and all resources available to them including how to spend their start up dollars. These topics range from making the Town Center concept more vibrant to creating a Youth Club facility.
At the graduation, the students present their projects to the parents and community leaders in addition to obtaining their diplomas.
